Bella Coola is the terminus of the Discovery Coast Ferry Service and the beginning of the Freedom Road to the Chilcotin, Cariboo and beyond into the interior of British Columbia. It is the only Central Coast community with a highway link to the rest of Canada.

Bella Coola is a major supply area for delivery of goods and service to the largest community within the Central Coast. Bella Coola offers all amenities to the traveling public by air, sea or vehicle. Many astounding recreational opportunities can be found in the Bella Coola valley. About 1000 people live on the Bella Coola townsite. You won't find anything but the simple and the serviceable The stores are interesting , clean and the staff friendly and willing to take the time to talk with you. You will find everything you want on our townsite and prices are reasonable. Take some extra time to shop as you will get talking to people. Bella Coola is the hub of the valley with lots of things to do if you take a look around. There are benches situated around the town for you to take in the view and relax a bit.
