The map above shows the location of villages once occupied by the Bella Coola people. These included villages along rivers and tributaries of the Bella Coola River Valley, the South Bentinck Arm, the Dean Channel and Kwatna Inlet. Today, only the village at Bella Coola remain occupied. Descendents from these areas live in Bella Coola as part of the Nuxalk First Nation.
